Dr. Paul M. Gallo has been the director of Exercise Science and Wellness at CT State Norwalk since 2004 and Associate Adjunct Faculty at Teachers College Columbia University since 2011. He holds a doctoral degree in applied physiology from Teachers
College Columbia University and is a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine. Paul is the incoming Editor-in-Chief for the ACSM’s Health and Fitness Journal and is the immediate past-chair of the ACSM’s Credentialing and Certification Registry Board (CCRB) Continuing Professional Education Subcommittee. He is a Past President of the New England Chapter of the ACSM, where he was named the 2022 Honor Award Recipient. Paul has extensive experience designing assessment-based curriculum and is active in research focusing on movement economy and resistance training in both persons with Parkinson’s disease and older adults.
