Lori Quinn, PT, EdD, FAPTA, is Professor of Movement Sciences and Kinesiology and Chair of the Department of Biobehavioral Sciences at Teachers College, Columbia University. Dr. Quinn holds joint appointments as Adjunct Associate Professor in Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine (Physical Therapy) at Columbia University Medical Center, and Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Trials Research, Cardiff University, Cardiff, UK. Dr. Quinn is a research physical therapist and is the director of the Neurorehabilitation Research Lab at Teachers College. She and her lab members conduct research on movement-based assessments and interventions for individuals with neurological diseases and disorders. She has led multiple clinical trials of exercise and physical activity interventions in individuals with neurodegenerative diseases, including Huntington’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. She is the PI for the Engage PD program, a physical activity intervention for people with early-mid stage Parkinson’s disease, as well as a co-author of the PD Movers: We Keep Moving book, an illustrated storybook resource for Black patients, care partners and families living and thriving with Parkinson's disease.
